GlobalPlatform

GlobalPlatform Secure Channel Protocol 03 using AES for stronger card-to-host encryption, replacing SCP02.

GP SCP03 is the AES-based successor to SCP02, providing GlobalPlatform secure-channel communication with stronger 128-, 192-, or 256-bit encryption and CMAC integrity. It derives fresh session keys per channel and supports pseudo-random card challenges, hardening post-issuance applet management against replay and brute-force attacks. New secure elements and SIM platforms adopt SCP03 as the default to meet current cryptographic guidance.
