GlobalPlatform Card Specification
GlobalPlatformIndustry standard for secure multi-application smart card management, defining card lifecycle, security domains, and secure channel protocols.
The GlobalPlatform Card Specification is the industry standard for managing multiple applications on a single secure chip, defining the card lifecycle, security domains, and the secure channel protocols used to load and personalise applets after issuance. It lets card issuers, application providers, and service operators each control their own space on the same card without trusting one another. It is the dominant management layer beneath SIMs, payment cards, and embedded secure elements in smartphones.
